An Interesting Astral Experience

by G.W. Fisler

This experience proved to me that we have more astral experiences than one would think.  I believe that some dreams are actually projections that we dismiss.  Sometimes we do not understand the symbology.  Other times the content is foreign to what we believe to be true.  This story is one of the latter.

At night just before bedtime, I usually play an hypnotic astral projection tape that I recorded a few years earlier.  There was a lapse of consciousness and then I had a "dream" that I was flying around my home.  I was out of town at the time and wanted to check on things at home.

I live on a river in a fairly secluded area.  There is only one road in to my house.  This road is flanked on both sides by forest.  In this particular "dream" I saw what looked like a road being built on the south side of the road.  The property on both sides of the road is owned by a paper company.  There was no reason that a road would be built there.  I dismissed this as a vivid dream.

Imagine my surprise on returning home a few days later.  A chill went down my spine when I realized that the paper company had cut the trees in the area in my dream.  The "road" that I saw was actually the path for the lumber trucks and equipment.

This experience teaches us two things.  The first is the importance of keeping a journal of all dreams and psychic activities.  The second is to not be too critical during an experience.  I should have looked for other clues that this was a dream instead of insisting that what I "knew" was fact.
